Jenni Batchelor is a Self Esteem facilitator & lay counselor.

Having completed her B.Comm degree it was the Industrial Psychology major that steered her in the direction of Behavioural Studies and Emotional Health & Well-being.

Jenni had a successful career in export and finance, when in 2006 she attended a Self Esteem talk. It ignited in her, a desire to guide her two daughters in such a way that they would live a powerful life, with a voice.

Jenni went on to achieve a diploma in a 2-year Self Esteem Course, affiliated to the International Council of Self Esteem.  Once the course was completed she was also allowed to attend a 12 Step Program for addicts in order to research the link between low Self-Esteem and its role in addiction. This program provided major learning and growth for her.

It became clear to Jenni that her purpose in Life is to help individuals find their Self Worth.

Jenni now facilitates workshops, as a volunteer, in the male and female centre’s of the Johannesburg Correctional Services, contributing to their rehabilitative program.

She also contributed material to the “Journey to Authenticity” course now offered at Bryanston Methodist Church. This is a 6-week course to empower women to know who they are as Spiritual beings. Jenni’s contribution was entitled “Having a Balanced Life”, an absolute passion for Jenni, and a living example of this is her own life.

Jenni has been a member of a lay counseling team for 15 years. She now counsels at Gracepoint Church as another area of community work besides the work in the prison.

Jenny is passionate about Self-Development, especially working with women in workshops and individual sessions. There are tailored workshops for children as she has identified that the essence of Self Esteem is established in childhood.

She has a life coach herself to ensure she is growing and stretching herself all the time while remaining on course and Living her Purpose. As required of Lay Counselors, Jenni is constantly under the professional supervision of several Clinical Psychologists and Celia Coburn affiliated to the Council of Self Esteem

Jenni is married to Alan who supports all the work she does in helping others discover themselves as being competent to cope with challenges in their daily lives & feel worthy of an abundant life.
